This is an AC/DC power supply unit. A power supply unit also known as a rectifier is a device that supplies power to an electronic load by converting Alternating Current (AC) to Direct Current (DC). PR-240 unit supplies power to the system. PR-240 connection converts 200-230 volt alternating current (AC) into a steady low-voltage direct current (DC) usable by the system. It is shipped ready for connection and no soldering is required. Different ships have different supply voltages, this device provides for input voltage modification. For connection to 100VAC- 115VAC, tap and terminal board connections need to be changed and for this too no soldering is required. The maximum load for this unit is 8A 24V Direct Current output. Labels are supplied in the accessories and should be attached to the front panel of the PR-240 according the mains supply of the ship. Components of PR-240 supply unit include: 12 A DC Breaker for DC output, 5 A AC Breaker for AC input, AC-OFF detection, ON/OFF Backup, Fuse (6.3A,240V), 24 VDC output voltage adjustment, Wiring change for AC input voltage selection (115 V /230V) and Jumper Wire for AC input voltage selection (115 V/230 V).

It provides a high quality two-way telex and data link between ships and other parties at sea or on land. All functions and services of the Inmarsat-C system are provided: EGC (Safety NET/FleetNET), distress message handling, two-way digital store-and-forward messaging including polling, data reporting, E-mail, etc. Distress alert are initiated by the remote distress alert unit. The distress message including own ship's position is easily edited. A PC can be used for editing the message via Ethernet when it is supplied with dedicated software.
The FELCOM18 consists of an antenna and display unit with keyboard. The display unit embodies a 10.4" color LCD and processor unit. The distress alert button is incorporated in the display for emergency. Data files and utility program on SD Memory Cards are easily loaded into the processor through the front loading card slot in the display unit. The compact design of display unit and omni-directional antenna unit offer space-saving installation. An optional GPS module is available for position reporting without operator's intervention. GMDSS compliance can be achieved by adding a printer and a AC/DC power supply unit.

Satellite Compass performance is not affected by ship’s speed, latitude, geomagnetism, etc. This hybrid integration of GPS receiver technology and a 3-axis solid-state rate sensor provide accurate and steady heading information, even when bridges or tall buildings block satellite signals. Unlike conventional magnetic and gyro compasses, accuracy is not affected by G-force or velocity.
